Steve joined Ballinger in 1999 and provides clients in the academic and corporate sectors with integrated design solutions that fuse expressive architecture with high-performance engineering. Steve’s aptitude for reflecting a client’s institutional culture and capturing their aspirational vision has been particularly apparent in his work on science buildings. Clients like Johns Hopkins University, the Wistar Institute, American University, and the University of Maryland have all benefitted from Steve’s ability to celebrate the everyday processes of science.
